Which music training is better for a child to become a professional singer, western singing, North Indian classical music or South Indian carnatic music?
I would rather say, choose any of them, but the child should be thorough with the basics of the music. Then definitely they can make a career and become a professional singer.
My personal example is, I have learnt Indian Hindustani classical form of music, and my training in that and thorough basics now help me, understand any composition well and now I am able to identify the raag and the swaras that a song is composed of.
Choose one form, and be consistent and patient to learn it completely. Initially it takes time and then definitely once the child is thorough with the basics, then guide towards professional career in music.
I am a trained Classical singer myself and also a Classical music trainer, here I provide links of my work on various platforms, as well as my offerings for the enthusiastic music learners. please go through and get connected.
